What are the categories of PCB

PCB board is classified according to the number of circuit layers: single panel, double panel and multilayer board. The common multilayer board is usually 4 or 6 laminates, and the complex multi-layer board can reach up to a dozen layers. There are three main types of classification: 

Single panel: on the most basic PCB, the parts are concentrated on one side and the wire on the other side. This type of PCB is called single-sided, because the wire only appears on one side. Because single panel in the design of lines, there are many restrictions (because only one side, wiring must around the path alone cannot cross between), so only use this kind of early circuit board. 

Double panels: both sides of this circuit have wiring, but the two sides of the wire must have an appropriate circuit connection on both sides. The "bridge" between these circuits is called the guide hole (via). A guide hole is a small hole in a PCB that is filled or coated with metal. It can be connected to two surfaces of a wire. Because the double panels are twice as large as a single panel, and because the wiring can be interlaced with each other (which can be moved to the other side), it is more suitable for the more complicated circuit than the single panel. 

Multilayer board: in order to increase the area that can be wired, the multilayer board USES more single or double-sided wiring board. With a double lining, two one-way for outer layer or two double lining, two blocks of single outer layer of the printed circuit board, through the positioning system and alternate insulation adhesive materials and conductive graphics interconnection according to design requirement of printed circuit board becomes four, six layer printed circuit board, also known as multilayer printed circuit board. The number of layers of the board represents several layers of separate wiring layers, usually even, and contains the most lateral layers. Most motherboards are of four to eight layers, but technically they can be made up of nearly 100 layers of PCB. Large supercomputers are used quite layers of the motherboard, but because this kind of computer can replace with many ordinary computer cluster, super sandwich plate has not been used gradually. Because all the layers in the PCB are tightly coupled, it is not easy to see the actual number, but if you look closely at the motherboard, you can still see it. 

According to the soft and hard classification: the common circuit board and the flexible circuit board.
